It would be much better if 10 units were be available to a tenant earning up to 50% of the area median income and one of the apartments will be at market rate.
Presently the cost for housing at the Holy Family Housing Project does not support the local neighborhood. Please answer the following questions:
• What is your vision of who will live in the Holy Name Housing project?
• How much money did the developers invest?
• How much private money was invested?
Holy Family is becoming a housing project for developers Coleen and Gerry Kavanaugh of CMK Weymouth.
THIS IS NOT AFFORDABLE HOUSING!
Holy Family High School at 121 North St, is located in the center of our community where the same families have lived for generations.
TAX DOLLARS- PUBLIC MONEY INVESTED!
• $875,000 US Housing & Urban Development (HUD)
• $500,000 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
• $175,000 Community Preservation Act (CPA)
16 UNITS; RENT COSTS
• 10 Ten of the apartments will be market rate.
• 4 Four of the units. 60% of the area median income.
• 1 one unit will be available to a tenant earning up to 50% of the area median income.
