New Bedford Police Department arrests man at SRTA Station for allegedly trafficking cocaine, Fentanyl

“New Bedford Police Detectives have arrested a man for trafficking more than 50 grams of cocaine and over 60 grams of Fentanyl.

On Monday, April 11, detectives responded to the STRA Bus Station on Elm Street for a report of a man carrying a backpack filled with possible drugs packaged for street-level sales. Detectives approached the man, identified as James Sessine, 33, and seized 42 suboxone film strips, 51.5 grams of fentanyl 66.3 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, several cut corner bags, a stun gun, a folding knife, scissors, and $3,160 which was seized as a result of profits from drug proceeds.

Sessine was arrested and charged with trafficking in 36 grams or more of cocaine, trafficking in 36 grams or more of fentanyl, and possession to distribute a class B drug.

He also has eight open cases out of New Bedford District Court, one of which is for distribution of a Class B substance on June 10, 2020.” -New Bedford Police Department.
