“On Saturday Mattapoisett Fire Rescue Marine 1 was dispatched to Aucoot Cove for a reported boat fire.
The occupants of the boat were able to safely escape but the boat is a total loss. Marine 1 assisted with fire suppression on scene.
Also on scene was the Mattapoisett Harbormaster, Marion Fire/EMS, Marion Harbormaster Department, New Bedford Police Department (Massachusetts), and the United States Coast Guard.”-Mattapoisett Fire Rescue.
