“The Massachusetts State Police-Charlton Barracks is investigating an oil spill, the source of which is unknown, in the Westborough Service Plaza traveling westbound on Route 90. The spill occurred in the west end of the lot adjacent to the exit. It occurred sometime between midnight and 11:30 a.m. this morning.

We are requesting that drivers, specifically truck drivers, check their dash cams to see if they have any footage of who may have caused this spill and left without reporting it.

MSP is currently awaiting Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection to further determine what the substance is. Traffic has not been impacted by the spill.

We believe the offending vehicle was parked between the two trucks in the attached photos. The substance was either intentionally dumped or spilled from this location.

Please contact the State Police-Charlton Barracks at 508-721-4040 with any information.”-Massachusetts State Police.
