Dartmouth man arrested with over 100 grams of heroin near Route 18 in New Bedford

A 28 year old Dartmouth man has been placed under arrest for drug trafficking charges after being arrested Sunday night at approximately 7:30pm.

Det. Jonathan Lagoa had been investigating a heroin dealing delivery service being operated in the area by the suspect. Probable Cause was established to arrest the man and he was taken into custody last night after being spotted leaving a supermarket off Route 18 in the south end.

As a result of the search, over 100 grams of heroin was seized. The drugs having a street value of approximately $10,000.

Scheduled to be arraigned this morning in New Bedford District court on trafficking heroin charges; Adam Sousa age 28 of South Dartmouth
