Our Gift to You! Strike up the band! As one of the nation’s oldest adult community concert bands, The American Band has enriched cultural life of Southern New England for nearly 200 years. The group of 60 musicians maintain the early traditions of concert bands in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, delighting audiences that span generations.
Greater New Bedford Chorale Society presents Raymond Buttero – Piano In Recital (2:00pm-5:00pm)
Beethoven Handel, DeBussy, and DeMotta. Raymond Buttero organist and Choral Society accompanist holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music Degrees from New England Conservatory, and has also studied at the Julliard School. In addition to being a noted area recitalist and accompanist, he has given numerous performances both in the United States and abroad, including appearances at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York; Academia Olga Levi, Venice Italy; Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, Portugal; and the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival (Yale Summer School of Music and Art), Norfolk, CT.
