Achiever of the Month for March 2018 – Kyleah Bodden
Age: 10
School: Carney Academy
Grade: 5th

Kyleah Bodden is the 10-year-old daughter of Caron and Roshalene Bodden. She is a member of Carney Academy’s Advanced Learning 5th grade class. Her younger siblings, Caira, 7; Josiah, 4; and Iyana, 3 admire her and her leadership.

For Kyleah’s 10th birthday she requested her guests bring items that would help those less fortunate instead of presents for her. This thoughtfulness resulted in collecting a huge box of clothing, toiletries and personal items that she and her mom, in turn, donated to displaced families from Puerto Rico this past Christmas. A young leader among us, one who placed others’ needs ahead of her own, she is our Achiever of the Month. Congratulations to Kyleah and the entire Bodden family. May your actions inspire others to perform acts of kindness throughout the south coast and beyond.

As ‘Achiever of the Month’ Kyleah received gift cards from The Pasta House, Stephen and Co., Best Buy (from Guns of Mass), Caddy Shack in Dartmouth, an award certificate/plaque from New Bedford Guide and an Achiever Tee from A’s before J’s.
