The Chief arrived on the scene first and requested mutual aid to the scene from the Orange Fire Department and horse rescue equipment out of the Royalston Fire Department to the scene.

Squad One responded to the scene with water rescue equipment. Members arrived at the scene and geared up with cold water suits and ropes. Once members from Orange FD arrived at the scene the Warwick FD members entered the water to aid the horse out of the water by breaking the ice for the horse.

The horse was successfully recovered and returned to the homeowner.

Thank you to our mutual aid departments that responded to aid us!” -Warwick MA Fire Department.
