On Monday, March 4, at 9:37 p.m. Wareham Police responded to Pepin’s Liquors on Cranberry Highway in West Wareham for an armed robbery. The clerk reported that a male entered the store brandishing a firearm and a bag with a drawstring demanding to have it filled with money.

The description given to officers was a black male with brown eyes, 5’9” tall, heavy set, wearing black sneakers and black gloves, with a large blue puffy winter coat. The suspect was also wearing a blue handkerchief over part of his face. After further investigation, it was determined that another person who was standing by the edge of the parking lot during the robbery left with the suspect on foot on Cranberry Highway in the Weaver Street area.

Officers set up a perimeter and the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office had a K-9 unit on the scene immediately. Despite an exhaustive search of the area, no suspects were located. If anyone has information on this robbery they are urged to contact the Wareham Police Department.
