48-year old Wareham resident struck on crosswalk during hit-and-run

On Monday, March 4, at 6:53 p.m. Wareham Police responded to the area Marion Road at Swifts Beach Road for the report of a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian.

At the scene, Officer Joseph Cardoza discovered that a 48-year-old Wareham resident had been struck while using the crosswalk. The operator of the vehicle never stopped and it is believed the suspect vehicle is a red Ford F150 pick-up truck. The victim suffered apparently minor injuries and was transported to Tobey Hospital. The case remains under investigation.
