Portuguese Kids bringing guaranteed laughs to Senhor da Pedra!

If you have never heard of the Portuguese Kids, you are in for a real treat. Derrick DeMelo, Jason Casimiro, Brian Martins and Al Sardinha make up the comedy group that takes all the nostalgia of growing up in a Portuguese household or neighborhood, and coats it in comic creativity. If you are of Portuguese ethnicity, their humor will certainly strike a chord as you will encounter things mom, dad, and avó have said. If you aren’t Portuguese (impossible) then you will know someone who is and it’ll be just as hilarious.

The groups unique brand of comedy has taken them all across the country, and even Canada. This illustrates just how good it is. Laughter is said to be therapeutic and just darn good for the soul. The unfortunate part of seeing comic acts these days is that they are typically at a comedy club that charges not only an exorbitant amount of money for entry and an outrageous amount for drinks. Good luck escaping a night like that without spending a hundred dollars.

The Portuguese Kids will be playing at Senhor da Pedra at 81 Tinkham Street, New Bedford and brought to you by the Whaling City Festival. The upside of this is that Senhor da Pedra is a sports club, not a comedy club which means you won’t be bent over the proverbial barrel. In addition, unlike at a comedy club, you will be FED. What are the chances that there will be mouth-watering Portuguese food served at Senhor da Pedra? I think that’s an easy question to answer! The ticket gets you a belly full of food and laughs, and your stress melts away as you let the Portuguese Kids do their thing. Tickets can be purchased by calling 508.287.4153 or head to their website at http://www.portuguesecomedy.com/. Seats are LIMITED, and will go fast, so hurry!

Here’s a sneak peek and taste of the Portuguese Kids. Enjoy!
