Registration is now open for the 8th Annual Women’s Fund Tiara 5K. The Tiara is a fun, healthy way to celebrate the women in our lives, while raising money to support the important efforts of the Women’s Fund in their mission to advance the educational attainment and economic security of women and girls in our region.
“the Women’s Fund Tiara 5K is the largest fundraiser for the Women’s Fund and its family friendly signature event. It has ended a Mother’s Day breakfast in bed tradition for many moms! In the fall of 2006, a group of local women runners offered to put together a race on Mother’s Day and donate the proceeds to The Women’s Fund. Our first race took place on May 13, 2007. It attracted over 350 runners and walkers, and the Dream Team hasn’t looked back.
30 volunteers + 29 sponsors = A great Mother’s Day and $10,000 for The Women’s Fund! Last year’s race raised more than $40,000 and attracted more than 250 volunteers, 50 sponsors and 1,100 runners, walkers and fun run participants!
