The Queen For A Day Program is a contest designed to take care of the most deserving, hard working women in the Greater New Bedford area that simply can’t afford a day at a spa. The winner and the nominee will be awarded an amazing day out at a spa with round trip black car service and lunch.
The winners will be picked up by Bizarro’s Black Car Service and brought to Gloria and Company for a 30-minute custom massage followed by manicure and pedicure. The limo will then take the ladies to The Pasta House for an amazing lunch and a return trip home.
To nominate someone to be Queen for A Day, send at least one paragraph to info@newbedfordguide.com with details on why that special woman in your life deserves to be Queen for the Day. Please include your contact details so we can follow up if selected. Winner(s) will be selected on 20 December, 2012. Restrictions do apply and the day at the spa is based on availability at Gloria and Company.

My wife, Colleen, should be Queen for a day. Over and above all of the things you would expect a mother and a wife to do and to be; she was the single biggest care taker of her mother, who recently passed. It wasn’t just the amount of time but the love and adoration she had for her mother that helped ease her mother until the end. God bless my wife.

I would love for my mom susan to be able to enjoy a spa day and lunch at the Pasta House she is an amazing woman who deserves to be treated like a queen for the day she has the biggest heart and would do almost anything to help someone in need. This year has been very hard on me and i cant afford the gift that she deserves i pray that she will win this spa day and lunch and know how much she truly means to me.
My daughter Christina is a very special person.She is so giving to everyone and never expects anything in return.From cooking,and cleaning to mowing the lawn which helps us out alot as we are not getting any younger.Just this week she took her Christmas money we gave her and bought toys for her niece because her sister is a single mom,then traded her Luxury Lace rosary for a Northface jacket also for her niece.She sent a Holiday plant to our neighbor who lost her husband on April 1st of this year.I could go on forever of her selfless acts. I’m just so proud of her my 23year old turned out to be quite the young lady.
I would like to nominate my Mother Sandra Who is such an honest and loving person and loving mother and grandmother.My Mother never stops to take time for herself to relax .She is always running around making sure to cook big meals everyday.Also everyday making sure laundry is done the house is cleaned from top to bottom getting us where we need to be making sure we her family are taken care of and have everything we need.I think my mother would love to be treated like A Queen for a Day she really deserves it for all that she does for us.To be treated like a Queen for a day would be a perfect gift anyone could give my mother.
I would like to nominate my daughter, Julie. She is married and has two children, ages 4 and 1. She is a very dedicated loving mother and always puts her family first before herself. She has a kind heart and is always there if any one needs help with something. Being a mother of two small children she never has time for herself and that is why I am nominating her because she is the joy of my life.
