Orlando victims monument – 49 crosses

A man from Illinois made 49 crosses and drove to Orlando to honor the victims of the recent shooting. New Bedford’s Debra and Barry Trahan of Painting At Splash traveled to Florida and took these photos of the Orlando memorial with all 49 crosses.

“I went with Barry to visit and pay respects to the victims of the Orlando shootings and their families. I took these pictures including each victim memorial cross that an Illinois man graciously made (49 crosses) and drove to Orlando to honor the victims. It was so touching to see each individual victims pictures on each cross as well as all the signatures. Everyone was invited to sign. So very sad it happened but glad we went.” – Debra Trahan
