OPINION: New Bedford High School Boy’s Varsity Basketball Team makes appeal for public support for Coach Brian Rudolph

“We are seniors at New Bedford high school and play on the basketball team.

As you’ve probably heard our new head coach Brian Rudolph has just been fired. We had a workout with some of the kids on the team which is against the MIAA, but at the same time, We feel like any other coach would’ve gotten a couple of games suspension.

We think that because of who Brian is and where he comes from has played a big part in why they fired him. We don’t think it is right especially because this is a first-time offense. There is nobody in the area that can take his place or do the things he’s accomplished within his first year. He’s more than a coach – he’s a father figure, a mentor, a brother, and someone who cares about each and every one of us more than the game.

We just ask if you could help us try and get his job back by sharing this petition we put together because we need the rest of New Bedford on our side!?✊?” The New Bedford High School Boy’s Varsity Basketball Team
