New Bedford Police narcotics officers seized 62 grams of marijuana and nearly $35,000 in cash at 2:32 p.m. on Wednesday after an investigation into a marijuana distribution operation on Tinkham Street in New Bedford.
After a search warrant was executed at the location a 20-year old New Bedford man was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Three bags of marijuana weighing 62 grams, digital scales, packaging material and $34,496 in currency were located in the apartment.
A 44-year old New Bedford man was present in the apartment when the warrant was executed and was arrested on a warrant charge. The warrant was unrelated to Wednesday’s drug charges.
