New Bedford Police arrest 18-year old for south end shooting of juvenile

New Bedford police report that a gang-related shooting in the south end on Nov. 10 has led to charges against 18-year old Tyhon Pina of 375 Cedar Street. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m.

A juvenile victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury to his right forearm and chest and was treated at St. Luke’s hospital. Earlier, the victim had been a passenger in a vehicle on Purchase St. near the Washington St. intersection when the incident occurred.
NBPD Detective Brian Rei of the Major Crimes Division is leading the investigation.
