New Bedford man charged with OUI, operating vehicle without a driver’s license

At 5:54 pm on Thursday, March 7, New Bedford police officers responded to a crash of a motor vehicle with a parked car at 193 Ashley Street.

Police officers report that after interacting with the operator, it was determined the operator was under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest.

35-year old Ruben Barrera was arrested and is being charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, possession of an open container of alcohol and OUI Liquor.
