New Bedford man arrested on multiple drug and gun charges

Last night at approximately 5:15pm members of the Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau executed a search warrant on Sycamore St. This was the result of an investigation by Det. Kurt Dreher into a drug delivery service being operated out of the residence with Marcos Rohena-Lopez being the target.

The target of the investigation was stopped as he drove away from his residence in a Nissan Maxima and was brought back to the home. As a result of a search of the apartment, 237 grams of heroin, 157 grams of cocaine, 12 oxycodone pills, 90 grams of marijuana, a .45 caliber Kahr Arms semi-automatic handgun, 12 rounds of ammunition, as well as, $1,784 in cash was seized.

Rohena-Lopez does not possess a license to carry firearms. The drugs have a street value of approximately $30,000.

Scheduled to be arraigned this morning in New Bedford district court on various firearm and drug charges: Marcos Rohena-Lopez age 30, New Bedford.
