Last night, the NBFD responded to a call of a man who had fallen in the water. Dock workers/Fishermen found the individual between two boats, called 911 and pulled him out of the water. Upon arrival, it was clear the person was suffering from severe hypothermia and possibly other injuries. Due to the icy and unsafe conditions of the docks, our marine vessel was used to transport this individual to land and get him to the ambulance as quickly and safely as possible.

“As we know, the weather conditions were pretty extreme last night and we would like to recognize the AMAZING efforts of the dock workers/fishermen, Unit 2, Engine 1, Ladder 1, our Marine Unit and EMS/Medic 1 staff.”
