New Bedford High School is pleased to offer to students entering Grade 8 in the 2015-2016 school year the opportunity to participate in dual enrollment at NBHS from their middle school.

In this dual enrollment program, students would have the option to take both English Language Arts and Algebra 1 at the high school, and students who successfully complete these freshman-level courses would receive credit toward their New Bedford High School diploma when they enroll at NBHS in 2016.

This competitive program will be available to 75 Grade 8 students from across the district in Fall 2015. Students have received applications that are due to back to their middle school offices by June 12.

“At New Bedford High we are very excited about this new opportunity for our students, and we look forward to welcoming eighth-graders into our building so they can see firsthand what it means to be a Whaler,” said Headmaster Bernadette Coelho.
