National Weather Service issues Freeze Warning for southeast Massachusetts, Rhode Island

The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning from midnight tonight to 9am Friday morning.

High pressure is building south across the region overnight, winds becoming light with mostly clear conditions, temperatures are going to drop into the 20s for most locations. Frost / Freeze will likely impact sensitive vegetation and unprotected outdoor plumbing.

* TEMPERATURES…As low as 28.
* TIMING…Late tonight into Friday morning.
* IMPACTS…Freezing temperatures will kill sensitive vegetation.
* LOCATION…Portions of Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
