Massachusetts State Police Arrest Ten In Sandisfield

On Wednesday, September 13, the following ten persons were arrested as a result of the Massachusetts State Police response to the Kinder Morgan protests at South Beach Plain Rd. in Sandisfield this morning.

CARPENTER-LOTT, Micah L., 24 YOA of Sutton, MA
Trespassing: Chapter 266 Section 120

SMART, Ryan, 27 YOA of Cambridge, MA
Trespassing: Chapter 266 Section 120

SIMON, Vivienne, 67 YOA of Northampton, MA
Disorderly Conduct: 272-53-F

LOEB, Rema, 84 YOA of Plainfield, MA
Disorderly Conduct: 272-53-F

CARR, Dennis P., 62 YOA of Cummington, MA
Disorderly Conduct: 272-53-F

BURCROFF, Erik W., 57 YOA of Plainfield, MA

BOTKIN, Steven D., 62 YOA of Pelham, MA

Several arrests have been made this year as protesters access restricted land used to develop a pipeline. According to a website dedicated to the protest, they ask people to “join us in opposing
Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company’s proposed expansion of the existing pipeline corridor through the Beech Plain (northeast) section of Sandisfield.”
