“On Saturday, August 21st, Brockton Police Department officers assigned to the specialized traffic enforcement patrols created a constant police presence at the Melrose Cemetery all day long and into the evening. Several times, numerous ATVs and dirt bikes attempted to gain entry to the cemetery for an annual outing but were thwarted and chased off by these officers, who safely pursued them.

On Sunday, August 22nd, BPD traffic enforcement officers assigned to these specialized patrols were back at it. When everyone else was hunkering down for the storm, the BPD was out there making motor vehicle stops and towing illegal machines from our roadways.

Our dirt bike and ATV Sweeps will continue throughout the city. If you have tips or photos or videos on vehicles like these operating recklessly, please send them to traffic@cobma.us. Thank you so much for assisting us.”
