Shortly after 6:45 p.m. on Thursday a Trooper assigned to the Troop C Community Action Team (CAT) was on patrol in Worcester. As he was traveling on Lafayette Street he conducted an RMV inquiry on a BMW sedan traveling ahead of him. The results of the inquiry revealed the vehicle was recently reported stolen causing the Trooper to close distance, however, the vehicle abruptly turned into a parking lot and came to a stop. The operator immediately, and without being ordered to, exited the vehicle but was detained by the Trooper without incident.

The operator, identified as DOMINGO RAMIREZ, 36, of Worcester, was questioned and placed in the rear of a cruiser. It was discovered on scene his driver’s license was also suspended. Upon the scene being secured Troopers conducted a search of the vehicle and located approximately 630 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine.

RAMIREZ was placed under arrest and transported to State Police-Millbury where he was booked. A bail commissioner was contacted and set bail at $200,000. He was scheduled to be arraigned at Worcester District Court on the following charges:

1. Trafficking in Cocaine, greater than 200 grams;
2. Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle; and
