Massachusetts State Police K9s respond to 77 incidents in the past week

Massachusetts State Police K9s had a very busy week and worked hard for their doggie treats. While most of the K9 activities center around criminal behavior the units are not limited to crime, but also serve the community as in the case of responding to calls where a person has intentions to commit suicide.

For the week of November 4th-10th Massachusetts State Police k9 responded to 77 incidents broken down as follows:

• 47 state police missions
• 30 assists to local police departments
• 10 were patrols calls
• 6 narcotics sniffs
• 2 fleeing suspects that were tracked down
• 1 call involving a suicidal person
• 1 assist to Massachusetts State Police tactical team
