Massachusetts man arrested for 3rd OUI while driving without two tires

On January 29th, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Trooper Mathew Clark while investigating a Tractor Trailer crash observed a white van operating on its rim traveling westbound on Soldier’s Field Road. He advised area patrols over the radio.

Trooper Chester Adams observed the white van while working a road closure and stopped the van. Troopers Paul Conneely, Patrick Candeliere and Harold Sousa (83rd RTT) arrived as backup. While traveling to the scene Trooper’s Candeliere and Sousa stopped to remove two tires from the road. The van was missing two tires.

After a subsequent investigation, the operator, PAUL DEROSA, 44, of Jamaica Plain was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of liquor. DEROSA was transported to the State Police Barracks in Boston where he was booked on the following charges:

– OUI Liquor 3rd
– Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Unsafe Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Operating a Motor Vehicle without an ignition lock
