“It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our brother and friend, retired Detective Sergeant Richard Sylvia. Rick served the Commonwealth for over 32 years before retiring in 2012.
During his time with the Massachusetts Environmental Police, Sergeant Sylvia was a warm and welcome presence and a dedicated public servant who cared strongly for the communities he served. He will be greatly missed.
