Man seen desperately attempting to pull crashed boat off of Horseneck Beach

Last week a boat was found crashed onto Horseneck Beach in Westport, Massachusetts. It was later found out that this apparently occurred due to a man falling asleep in his boat docked in Rhode Island and he woke up crashing onto Horseneck Beach.

Many residents found the story odd and had several questions surrounding the truth behind the incident. Regardless of what happened, the man came back to the scene in an attempt to save his ship.

He brought his dog, a friend, some rope, and his jeep to try and move his boat off the shore and back into the water. Campers and beach-walkers gathered to witness this attempt which just so happened to have a beautiful sunset as a backdrop!
