The Dairy Mart located at 4443 Acushnet Avenue was robbed today at approximately 10:00am. The male who was described as a light skinned male, about 5’6”, wearing a white hoody with possibly an emblem of some sort on the shoulder, wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun was able to flee with an undetermined amount of cash as well as cigarettes. Detectives have located the suspect’s vehicle, which has been towed to police station #3 for processing for evidence.
A perimeter has been established in the general area in which K-9’s from our department as well as neighboring towns are being used to comb the area. The Massachusetts State Police Helicopter is also being used.
