On Saturday, September 28, Dr. David Ahearn will host Seekonk’s annual Dentistry From The Heart event – providing complimentary dental care to more than 150 residents. Their Saturday hours are 7:00 am – 12:00 pm. The line will begin to form as early as the night before, with many prepared to camp out in order to receive dental treatment. Can’t make it tomorrow? Dentistry From the Heart patients travel from across New England every year to Southcoast Smiles for the annual dental event.
Every year, Dr. Ahearn and his team of dentists, volunteers and sponsors provide the first 150 patients with a complimentary extraction, filling or cleaning. This is the 6th annual event for Dr. Ahearn, who has donated more than $300,000 in dental care to more than 600 residents.
“My staff and I look forward to this event every year, because we know there are many people out there who simply can’t afford dental care at this time,” said Dr. Ahearn. “Last year we donated over $65,000 of treatment to those in need. It’s such a great feeling to be able to give back to our community in this way.”
The media is invited to join the hundreds of patients, volunteers and Dr. Ahearn on Saturday, September 28, to spread free smiles through Dentistry From The Heart located at Southcoast Smiles 185 Highland Ave. Seekonk, MA 02771. Video from last year’s event …
this is so wonderful! I am so glad that I found out about this agency! Maybe I can finally get some help with my front teeth 🙁 I look like Bucky the beaver with chipped two front teeth. I was helping my niece roller skate on New Years Eve and fell and chipped my teeth. Health Insurance wont pay. Which is normal but $440 one tooth for a cap and $440 cash up front !! God bless this organization for helping people that need help!! It is so nice to hear positive things in the news rather than the horrible normal news that usually is in the paper… Thank you again
