2nd Annual Fort Phoenix Polar Plunge

Polar Plunge Fort Pheonix FairhavenLast December, dozens of people took the 1st Annual Polar Plunge at Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven.  The 2nd Annual Polar Plunge is scheduled for at Fort Phoenix on January 1st at 10am. The goal this year is to establish a scholarship at Fairhaven High School in memory of Fairhaven’s domestic violence victims. What does it cost?

Twenty-five dollars buys a long sleeve T-shirt. You can choose whether or not you jump in. Shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis. Shirts can be purchased at the Plunge or on Thursday, December 29th from 5-7pm at Day’s Health & Sports on 86 Huttleston Avenue in Fairhaven, MA.

What to bring?

Towels, blankets and warm clothes to change into after the plunge. We highly recommend water shoes or old sneakers to protect your feet from rocks and cold. There are some unavoidable rocks in the area so be careful!

What will be available?

Changing tents, Port-a-Johns, warming fire, and hopefully refreshments.

From the north: Rte. 24 south to Rte. 140 south to 195 east to 240 south to Rte. 6 west. Follow signs.
