Westport Firefighters responded to a structure fire this afternoon on Cadmens Neck Road.
The crew of the first arriving fire apparatus were able to quickly knock the fire down, and control it until other department members arrived to assist. The fire did cause significant damage to the exterior of the home, and the interior ceilings, and attic space.
During the fire, there were 5 additional calls including 2 water emergencies on the Westport River and Sawdy Pond. Assisting us over this 2 hour period were the Westport Police & Dispatch, Westport Harbormaster, Dartmouth Fire District 2, Little Compton Fire @tivertonfiredepartment Fire & EMS, Dartmouth EMS, and Fall River EMS. #westportma
