“Westport Fire responded to Rock Street early this morning for a reported vehicle fire that was in close proximity to a second vehicle and the home.

The first arriving engine company, staffed with two firefighters, were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fully involved truck. The fire, which is not considered suspicious, also resulted in some heat damage to a second vehicle. There was no damage to the home.

The department responded with two engines and the Deputy Chief, as well as off-duty and on-call firefighters.

We’d like to thank the responding Westport Police officers and the E911 dispatcher for their assistance. #westportma” -Westport Fire Department.
