“The Wareham Police family sadly announce the passing of retired Officer William Fihlman.

Officer Fihlman was a true public servant, where he served a full career with the United States Navy and also with the Massachusetts Air National Guard, before joining the Wareham Police Department.

After his retirement from the Navy, Officer Fihlman proudly served the Wareham community for ten years (10) years. Throughout Officer Fihlman’s career at the Wareham Police Department he held the positions of, patrol officer, department photographer, and accreditation officer.

Outside of work Officer Fihlman was an avid fisherman, photographer, and loved spending time with his family and friends. Officer Fihlman will truly be missed.”-Wareham Police Department.
