Wareham police charge woman with OUI, driving without a license

On Tuesday, July 31, at about 1:00 a.m., Officers Nate Aronson observed a vehicle driving erratically on Sandwich Road and pulled it over on Main Street.

After an investigation, Officer Aronson arrested the operator who had identified herself under a false name, for operating the under the influence of liquor, operating to endanger, fail to stop at a stop sign, speeding and marked lanes violation.

Arriving at the station with the arrestee, Officer Zina Kelsch immediately recognized the suspect as Shaunelle Black, 34, of Wareham. As the result, Ms. Black picked up additional charges including, operator refusing to identify self, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace.

Wareham police allege that Ms. Black was completely uncooperative during the booking process, allegedly hurling insults at Officer Kelsch and Sergeant Daniel Henderson. She was held until court later in the morning.
