Wareham police arrest two on OUI charges over the weekend

On Saturday, March, 23 at about 11:15 p.m. Wareham Police officers were dispatched to the area of Depot Street for the report of an intoxicated driver. Within a few minutes, Officer Michael Phinney observed the vehicle in question and pulled it over near Atlantic Boats. After a brief investigation, Bethany Rogers, 33, of Onset, was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of liquor.

Later, on Sunday morning at 12:10 a.m. Officer Justin Silveira observed a vehicle speeding on Cranberry Highway near Tobey Road. After stopping the vehicle observations were made of the driver and he was placed under arrest. Michael Lindquist, 22, of Wareham, is being charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding.

Both are expected in Wareham District Court on Monday morning.
