Wareham police arrest four after drug raid on Tuesday

On Tuesday, March 5, at about 4:30 p.m. officers and detectives of the Wareham Police, Bourne Police, and Massachusetts State Police conducted a search warrant in Apartment 52, at the Woods at Wareham complex, after a joint investigation.

Bourne Police detectives were investigating a case in their community which led them to receive a search warrant for that apartment in Wareham. As a result of the raid, 40 grams of Fentanyl, multiple digital scales, sandwich bags, nearly $2,000 in cash and other instruments consistent with an illegal narcotics operation were seized. In addition, four individuals were placed under arrest. The Fentanyl had an estimated street value of about $4,000.

The following individuals were placed under arrest and transported to Wareham Police Headquarters, and are expected to appear in Wareham District Court on Wednesday morning.

• Isaiah Lopes, 27, of 48 Swifts Beach Road, Apartment 52 in Wareham is charged with possession of a Class “A” substance with intent to distribute, subsequent offense.

• Jules Tavares, 26, of no certain address is charged with trafficking in Fentanyl.

• Malcom Colson, 62, of 48 Swifts Beach Road, Apartment 52 in Wareham is charged with possession of a Class “A” substance with intent to distribute, subsequent offense.

• Timothy Harper Jr., 21, of 27 Heather Hill Road, Buzzards Bay, was placed into custody on a separate warrant during the raid.
