Wareham Police arrest three local men for failing to register as sex offenders

In the last several days a Wareham Police detective has been conducting address verifications for registered sex offenders in the town of Wareham. As a result of this investigation three arrests were made on Monday August 5.

1:45 p.m. John Candelora, 54, of no certain address, was arrested by Officer Susan Kucinski and a detective in the lobby of the station on a warrant for being a sex offender failing to register.

2:15 p.m. Gregory Mattos, 32, of New Bedford, was arrested on Cranberry Highway by detectives for being a sex offender failing to register.

3:15 p.m. Jamal Guinyard, 33, of no certain address, was arrested by detectives at the police station for being a sex offender failing to register.

Acting Chief John Walcek said, “If a person fails to properly register as sex offender in Wareham our department will have zero tolerance for any violations of this law.”
