Vermont woman arrested transporting 901 bags of suspected heroin in Whately, MA

On January 4th, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Trooper Kurt D’Angelo of the State Police Northampton Barracks stopped a Ford F-150 pickup on Interstate 91 Northbound near the 36-mile-marker in Whately for motor vehicle violations.

As a result of an investigation, with the assistance of Trooper Matthew Swindlehurst, the driver of the vehicle who was identified as CORRINA M. CARR, 41, of Springfield Vermont, was found to be in possession of 901 bags of suspected heroin. CARR was placed under arrest and brought to the Northampton Barracks for booking.

CARR was issued a civil citation for a motor vehicle offense and charged criminally with the following:

1. Trafficking in Heroin/Morphine/Opium
2. Failure to Wear Seat Belt

CARR was held on $5,000 bail, pending arraignment this morning in Greenfield District Court.
