The victim who died in this crash is identified as Cameron Rodrigues, 19, of New Bedford.
Evidence gathered during the ongoing investigation suggests that Rodrigues was ejected from his vehicle during the crash and then, while on the roadway, was struck by another vehicle that did not stop afterward.
We are seeking the other vehicle and driver and any other persons who may have witnessed the crash or its aftermath.
Anyone who was driving in the area around 2:30 AM or may have information about the unknown vehicle to contact Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office at 508-993-2016. Police are only seeking to speak with the unknown motorist at this time.
