UPDATE: Hudson school teacher identified as victim in Fitchburg accident where tire was involved

This is an update to an earlier story

The victim who suffered fatal injuries yesterday when a motor vehicle rim and tire crashed through her windshield is identified as Erin Beth MacKay, 42, of Templeton. MacKay was a 1st grade teacher at Forest Avenue Elementary School in Hudson and worked for Hudson Public Schools for 12 years.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The State Police ask that anyone who was driving on Route 2 in the area of Mount Elam Road in Fitchburg early yesterday afternoon, and who saw any part of the incident OR have a dashboard-mounted camera in their vehicle, call MSP Troop C Headquarters at (508) 829-8326.
