Three New Bedford women arrested in fentanyl, cocaine bust

At around 7 pm on July 24th, New Bedford police officers executed a search warrant at 1095 Pleasant Street – apartment 1 and arrest three female roommates. Police report various amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, clonazepam in the apartment. Fentanyl was responsible for 89% of all overdoses in Massachusetts in 2018.

61-year old Maria Agosto is being charged with possession to distribute cocaine, possession to distribute cocaine (second offense – 3 May, 2013), trafficking in more than 10 grams of fentanyl, possession to distribute a Class A drug (second offense – 3 May, 2013).

44-year old Maria Negron-Agosto is being charged with possession of Clonazepam (Class C drug)

25-year old Monique Ponte is being charged with possession of fentanyl and possession of cocaine.
