The Zeiterion Performing Arts Center Presents: CeeLo Green on June 8th

The Zeiterion Performing Arts Center presents singer-songwriter-producer CeeLo Green on Wednesday, June 8, at 8 p.m. His new solo album “Heart Blanche” features the singles “Robin Williams,” “Sign of the Times,” “Music to My Soul” and “Work.” Tickets from $29 to $49 are available at www.zeiterion.org, 508-994-2900 or at the Zeiterion box office, 684 Purchase Street, New Bedford. VIP packages are available, which include a meet and greet and photo opportunity with the artist, and range from $104 to $124.

CeeLo is well-known for the hit single “Forget You” that earned him five Grammy nominations and won for “Best Urban/Alternative Performance.” The single, from the 2010 album “The Lady Killer,” is certified Gold in the U.S. and Denmark, and it achieved platinum status in Canada, New Zealand and the UK, as well as multi-platinum status in Australia. It hit such mainstream status that even Gwyneth Paltrow covered “Forget You” on Glee (2011). CeeLo’s solo career came after his time with Gnarls Barkley, formed with deejay-producer Danger Mouse. Their 2006 hit “Crazy” reached #1 in various singles charts worldwide and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. Prior to his time with Gnarls Barkley, CeeLo saw success with the southern hip-hop group Goodie Mob.

In addition to his success as a recording artist, CeeLo completed four seasons as a coach on NBC’s hit show The Voice alongside Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. He has also made guest-appearances on NBC’s Parenthood (2011), FOX’s American Dad (2011), Nickelodeon’s How To Rock (2012), Anger Management (2013) and also hosted his own talk show CeeLo Green Talking to Strangers on FUSE TV. He has appeared on Saturday Night Live (2011) and Oprah (2011), presented at the Billboard Music Awards (2013), ESPYs (2011) and Kids’ Choice Awards (2012), and performed at the 2012 Super Bowl with Madonna, The Grammy Awards with the Muppets (2011), Brit Awards (2011), Billboard Music Awards (2011/2012), Soul Train Awards (2011) and BET Awards (2011).
