Thankful New Bedford mom recognizes school that goes above and beyond for her child

“I just wanted to say thank you to the teachers, behaviorists, and all staff at RiSE. Academy at Pulaski.

Since school has been closed we have got phone calls from many staff in the school helping not only my son but my whole family. They also have a Facebook page that offers the same supports that they give my son during the school day.

Videos about how to stay calm and focused and how to breathe when he gets really mad. They have videos, read stories and help with school work with calls and meetings. my son looks forward to seeing them on computer meetings. They have even posted about food banks.

That was helpful for me and my kids. I have printed some stuff they post and give to family and friends who need it to help their kids. Sometimes I feel embarrassed to say that I have a child in a behavior program but the RiSE staff never make me feel that way. And I know they love him as well as my friend’s son who is in the same program. I can’t thank them all enough for everything they do.
