Mercy Meals and More received ” the call” and the temporary emergency shelter will be open tonight, Wednesday, January 29th at 9 p.m. so people can come out of the cold.
They are in need of donations of food donations and volunteers. Bring donations after 9 p.m. to 634 Purchase Street or call Russ. The volunteer shifts needed are 9 to 2 a.m. and from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Any one interested in helping out or bringing some food i.e. snacks such as fruit, yogurt and fruit cups and luncheon meats for sandwiches please give Rev. I have some men’s clothing and a few coats that I would like to donate. I also have a pair of mens sneakers that were only worn for one day. they are size 13 and have Velcro closures, so if you have a man that could use those , even though they aren’t winter shoes, they are like new, and non skid. I also have some small woman’s clothing. and a box of ladies size 6 shoes and boots , almost new. I sell things on ebay to make ends meet but certain items I feel better donating than selling. thank you for your time and the wonderful things you do
