State Police Investigating Fatal Crash in Bolton

UPDATE: The deceased occupant is identified as Adlerson Anicette, 31, of Brooklyn, NY. The remaining facts and circumstances remain under investigation.

At approximately 04:05 p.m. today, troopers from the State Police barracks in Leominster responded to a report of a crash on Route 495 Northbound, at Exit 27, in Bolton, which resulted in the death of the one person.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Brian Labriola of the Leominster Barracks indicates that a 2004 Mercury was traveling on Route 495 northbound when it took Exit 27 for Route 117. The Mercury lost control and went across the exit divider onto the on ramp for Route 495 northbound. The Mercury rolled over and both people in the vehicle were ejected.

One of the occupants, a female, was transported by Lifeflight to UMass Worcester with life threatening injuries. The second occupant, a male, was transported by Bolton EMS to Marlboro Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Positive identification of the victims has not been made at this time.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation but speed is believed to be a factor.

Trooper Labriola is being assisted in this investigation by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. Also assisting on scene were members of Bolton Fire and EMS, and Massachusetts DOT.
