RAPPP Announces June Programming

RAPPP has plenty of activities scheduled for May!

The Southcoast™ Hospitals’ Responsible Attitudes toward Pregnancy, Parenting & Prevention (RAPPP) Program is hosting a series of after school activities during the month of June. Experienced teachers will also be available to help students with math, science, English and history homework.

Each session through June 17 will feature a different theme. Beginning June 18 the drop in center will be open Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 pm. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4p.m. through the month of June.

The following is the list of activities scheduled for June:

  • Monday, June 3: Southcoast Health Van will provide free health screenings and education.
  • Tuesday, June 4: Seed Bombs Part I and help with math and science homework.
  • Wednesday, June 5: Hawaii Day with tropical Snacks.
  • Thursday, June 6: Closed for June Jump Off.
  • Friday, June 7: Open Drop In.
  • Monday, June 10: Watercolor Art Day.
  • Tuesday, June 11: Seed Bombs Part II and help with math and science homework.
  • Wednesday, June 12: Hummus Pots.
  • Thursday, June 13: Block Party and help with English and history homework.
  • Friday, June 14: Open Drop in.
  • Monday, June 17: Southcoast Health Van will provide free health screenings and education.
  • Tuesday, June 18: Open Drop in from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 19: Open Drop in from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 20: Open Drop in from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday, June 21: Open Drop in from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Monday, June 24: Open Drop in from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 25: Open Drop in from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 26: Open Drop in from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 27: Open Drop in from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday, June 28: Open Drop in from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After school programs take place from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at Southcoast RAPPP’s drop-in center at 1208 Ashley Boulevard in New Bedford. Programs are offered to tweens and teens age 11 to 19 and are free of charge. Snacks will be provided to all participants. Youth can register for upcoming activities by stopping by the RAPPP drop-in center, however registration is not required.
