Her name is Kyara Almeida Sylvia. Out of the entire platoon of men and women – over 300 recruits – our daughter was recognized as Honor Graduate for Echo Co. She was awarded ‘Most Physical Fit Marine’ of ECHO Co. and scored a 597 out of 600 points. 3rd Marine in line ❤️❤️!
Since she was a child she has excelled in everything she has done and I believe that sharing her accomplishment while in Parris Island NC would be a positive note for New Bedford.
She has been recognized in New Bedford for other accomplishments. While she played at the Whaling City Youth baseball league, she was awarded MVP. Words can’t express how proud we are of OUR Marine Kyara Almeida Sylvia! She surely has represented New Bedford well!
