Ramos in being charged with B&E into a Building During the Daytime and Malicious Destruction of Property Valued Over $250.

On Monday, August 17, 2015, Dartmouth Police arrested a homeless man, identified as Thomas Ramos (53), after neighbor’s reported seeing him inside of a vacant house.

While interviewing Ramos, he told officers that he had bought the residence and had been living there, and, in fact, had keys to all of the locks.

After learning this, one of the officers contacted the realtor responsible for the sale of the house, who confirmed that Ramos did not belong there. The realtor also informed the officer that they were familiar with Ramos, as he has changed the locks on vacant properties in the past, then claims to live there when questioned.

  1. So shaming this homeless person by cornering him into lying, fining him $250 and running this article is helping him how? Where is our decency? Perhaps the neighbors should have left him a plate of food or called a social service agency or a church that might have actually helped him vs. humiliated him.

    • So if he wasn’t homeless this article would be ok to run? Just run articles when the non-homeless people break the laws? Also, when you see a suspect breaking into a neighbors home you run over with a plate of food just in case he’s homeless? Sorry, but calling the police when someone is breaking into a home is the right call.
